Glow Up Garden (VR)

Speak helpful affirmations out loud to grow your garden in virtual reality (VR). Defend your hearts against unhelpful negative self talk that seeks to crawl in and destroy your garden.

VR & Microphone Required. Speak very loudly and clearly, and enunciate your words. Uses Meta Voice SDK. Don't try to run this without virtual reality. Supports Meta Quest 3 and Windows OpenXR.

Made for Glow Up Game Jam. Use it to learn helpful affirmations to replace your negative self talk.

Work in progress: the current builds don't have enemies or tutorial/instructions yet. This is just an affirmation garden sandbox for now! More to come.

Controls/Instructions:
Plant spoken affirmations as hedge walls to protect your hearts and grow your garden.

Action	Control
Locomotion	Thumbstick up/down to move. Thumbstick left/right to snap rotate.
Alternate Locomotion	Use trigger or grip to grab empty air and pull yourself in any direction.
Create an affirmation	Speak it in a very loud and clear voice, enunciating the words. Look at the text on your hands for affirmations to say. If your speech matches an affirmation, it will turn solid and you will hear a little beep. Your speech just has to be close enough to the affirmation for it to match.
Grab / Reset	Hover your hand over an unplanted affirmation or a heart, and hold the trigger or side grip button to grab. Grabbing words that are not a matching affirmation will cause it to shatter and reset.
Plant an affirmation	After grabbing a spoken affirmation, move so that it is touching the ground or another planted affirmation and release it. It will grow vines and leaves and be planted there. You can stack and grow affirmations.
