Version 1.1.0 (post-jam) of Daikon Hero is available and has a bunch of quality of life features that make the game come to life (and death) even more:

1. Player-Destructible Walls: You can now shoot at the walls of the trenches to slowly dig through them. So can your enemies.
2. Bullet-time / slow motion now regenerates, and the pickups for them now refills 3.0 seconds of it. With every zone reached, 50% of your max bullet time recharges.
3. Sneakiness pays off: When sneaking (SHIFT key to turn on), besides for having a chance to avoid enemy detection, it also makes the artillery/mortar fire target you less accurately. There is also an indicator at the top of the screen that indicates that you are sneaking. Remember that firing, reloading, jumping, or getting damaged will exit sneak mode.
4. Enemy corpses stick around (for 15 seconds) and ragdoll. You can use them as sandbags or step on them.
5. Artillery/mortar fire now causes damage depending on how close you are to the center of the blast. They'll throw you around from the impact too. You'll know where the bombs will drop by the spinning red artillery indicator. If you see it, make sure you are not standing in it when you hear the shrieking incoming sounds.
6. There's a pause menu. Just press ESC at any time to bring it up. It also allows you to restart the game or quit.
7. Better aim: now you are not limited to firing at things on the same height level you are at. If you hover the reticle over an enemy and fire, your bullet will go towards them whether or not they are in the trench with you, or on the surface of the battlefield. The ground/walls can still get in the way though, but you can destroy the walls.
8. Tight quarters, big guns: Your guns now bump into the walls, making it more interesting to move through tight trenches.
9. Weapons tweaks: The Peashooter Revolver now reloads faster but has shorter range. The Sniper Pea Rifle shoots slower, but has a longer range. The Podshot Shotgun now has a shorter range.
10. Controls display: You can toggle on/off the controls help by pressing the Slash (/) or Question mark (?)  key on the keyboard.
