Mum's Makeup Makeover (VR for Meta Quest 2/3/Pro)

Use your makeup kit and fabulous sense of style to give Mum a makeover for a variety of different scenarios, in virtual reality! 

      

Requires Oculus/Meta Quest 2/3/Pro.

A Game By Its Cover: This VR experience is made for the A Game By Its Cover 2023 game jam, where participants create real games based on fictional game cartridge covers.

I made this game based on Ashley Ronning's "Put Makeup on Mum" Famicase cartridge cover:

 

Controls

Action	Hand Tracking	Controller
Move	Make a fist and pull yourself in a direction.	Squeeze both the front and grip triggers, and pull yourself in a direction.
Tools/Colors Palette	Look at your inner wrist to bring up tools/color palette (depends on whether your other hand is empty).	(Same as hand tracking controls.)
Grab an item	Grab it naturally with your hand.	Squeeze the front trigger or the grip trigger to pick up an item.
Fingertip-based Smear/Blend makeup	Use your empty fingertips to smear/blend makeup.	(Same as hand tracking controls, but using your virtual fingers)
Menu	Look at your left palm and pinch your left index finger and thumb together. Drag the line to the desired function.	Hold the left controller's menu button and drag the line to the desired function.

• 2023-08-25: (v1.0.1) Added photo mode and picture taking. Pictures are saved to the device's gallery - you can view/sync the pictures using the Files app that comes with the Meta Quest 2 / Pro device. Rearranged color palette tabs for better hand tracking.
