I was browsing through my Ukraine bundle and I saw I had this, and I felt so upset that I hadn't found this earlier because this is literally my favorite part about Opera GX and I had wished something like this existed for the longest time. Now, I got my favorite theme from Opera (Creamy), got all the wav files and tried adding them myself. A lot of them wouldn't work aside from 'Enter'. I tried looking at the bitrate, file size, trying to find anything that would explain it. Eventually, I opened them in Audacity. Apparently, the Enter sound effect was 0.55 seconds long, while the others that wouldn't play were 0.20 seconds long. I added silence at the end to make the wav file 0.55 seconds long, and lo and behold, it works. :3 This program is amazing, and I hope my comment can help people who are in the same situation I was in! <3
I've used this app for years and adore it so much. My coworkers love commenting on the bubble sounds when I type, and when I write at home, the typewriter effect adds dopamine to the process I swear--especially when hitting the enter button.
